Jere – from university to a new role

Jere works at Jotwire as an S&OP Engineer. He first joined our team during his studies through a thesis project and, after graduating, began his career with us in a completely new role.

Jere graduated as a building services engineer with a specialisation in electrical and automation technology. His curiosity about electrical engineering led him to his thesis, which focused on implementing a new solar power system at Electro-Hill Oü’s factory. Jere was involved from the very start, visiting the factory in Estonia and contributing to the design, including component selection for the electrical system. He also carried out financial calculations to support the investment decision. Jere says the thesis process went smoothly and that Ouneva Group provided strong support. The project included trips to energy solution fairs and visits to Estonia, which Jere greatly enjoyed.

Towards the end of his thesis, Jere was offered a position at Jotwire. The role of S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning) Engineer is new both for us and for Jere. He is responsible for balancing demand and supply in close cooperation with production, purchasing and sales. His work involves monitoring customer forecasts and production capacity. Jere emphasises the importance of teamwork across these functions. The S&OP process helps us offer customers suitable production services, avoid surprises such as capacity constraints and deliver better service. The global electrification trend is having a huge impact and driving demand for solutions that support it. Jere sees Jotwire’s expertise in delivering complete solutions as a major strength and highlights the need to invest in business development.

Jere started his new role in May. During the autumn, he has taken part in intensive training sessions with the team and says he is excited about the position. Time will tell how the role evolves, which makes everyday work all the more interesting!
